Hannah throws her ceramics in small batches on the potter’s wheel out of her community studio in Highgate, North London. She combines form and function to create pieces which enhance the rituals of everyday life.

Hannah is interested in the constant conversation taking place between herself and the clay and how minute changes in the state of either can affect the outcome. She uses brushstrokes to respond to the form of her vessels and they therefore represent a snippet of conversation between herself and the piece captured in one brief moment in time.

Hannah is interested in the human connection which is created through handmade objects and her hope is that her pieces become items which are cherished in the home now and into the future.
